Expanding our haematology portfolio

A significant milestone in this journey has been the addition of Desferal® to our growing portfolio of haematology products in Brazil. Originally developed by Novartis, Desferal® plays an important role in the management of iron overload, including in patients with sickle cell disease who require regular transfusions. Bringing this established therapy into our portfolio reinforces our commitment to supporting comprehensive haematology care.

Seamless transfer of Marketing Authorisation

Through our strategic collaboration with Mitem Pharma, the Marketing Authorisation (MA) for Desferal® was successfully transferred from Novartis to Masters. This transition was carefully managed to ensure regulatory continuity, uninterrupted supply, and sustained confidence among healthcare professionals and patients.

To drive sustainable growth and expand treatment options for sickle cell patients, we implemented a full sales and marketing strategy aligned with local market dynamics.
