Masters is proud to support World Sickle Cell Day on 19th June 2020.

Sickle Cell Disease a genetic condition that affects millions of people worldwide. The red blood cells of those with sickle cell are abnormal in shape, preventing them from carrying oxygen freely around the body, causing blockages. The blockages cause excruciating pain episodes. The only known cure for sickle cell disease is a bone marrow transplant which is only available for a limited number of patients with a suitable donor. We think it is vitally important to raise awareness of Sickle Cell Disease and the treatment options available to those who are suffering, enabling them to achieve greater quality of life; this is why we are proud to support #worldsicklecellday.
