Master . . ,

After more than 20 years' of supplying both Retail and Hospital Pharmacies, Masters has a wealth of experience in sourcing medicines that may be in short supply. Whether a medication has been discontinued, is unavailable in certain regions, or is simply extremely difficult to obtain, Masters can help.

Masters understands the pressures Pharmacists often face in obtaining stock at short notice, which is why we are constantly working with businesses to understand their requirements and put together an appropriate budget that caters for individual needs.

Doctor Waiting

We will help to develop an NPS programme that enables pharmacists to dispense medication safely and effectively. Pharmacists share responsibility for supplying a drug and the consequences of its use with the Prescribing Clinician, which is why we are always available to provide support and information throughout every stage of our NPS programs.

Pharmacists take on this responsibility because they have a duty of care to the patient when supplying the medication. They take responsibility for:

  • Confirming a drug’s safety profile
  • Ensuring correct dosing
  • Evaluating whether the drug is in the patient’s best interest
  • Ensuring the prescribing clinician is familiar with the drug
  • Providing appropriate patient information
  • Named patient supply (NPS)
  • Named Patient Supply

  • NPS, also known as expanded access programmes (EAP), enables pharmacist to increase access to drugs that cannot be obtained through traditional prescribing channels.
