  • Bill Burns

    Bill Burns – Chairman

    Bill Burns, former Chief Executive Officer of Roche Pharmaceuticals, joined Masters as Chairman in June 2010. He has had a long and distinguished career in the pharmaceutical industry, and held several senior positions at Roche. Among his key achievements at Roche, Mr Burns played a significant role in the acquisition of Genentech, led the integration of Boehringer Mannheim Therapeutics and was almost instrumental in Roche taking majority control of Chugai in Japan. He retired from Roche in January 2010 and is also currently on the Board of Directors at Roche Holdings, Chugai Pharmaceuticals, Genentech and Shire.

  • Linda Foster

    Lynda Foster - CEO

    Lynda Foster was appointed acting Chief Executive officer in July of this year after successfully serving as an independent non executive Director of Masters Pharmaceuticals Limited since 2010. Lynda's experience in the pharmaceutical industry spans over 30 years and she brings with her a wealth of expertise, her successful career includes many senior Board positions including Ivax (now Teva) and CEO of Niche Generics Limited. In addition to this Lynda has also served as Chairman of the British Generic Association and Vice Chairman of the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry. Latterly Lynda has worked in an advisory capacity for numerous pharmaceutical companies.

  • Andrew Elder

    Andrew Elder - Non-Executive Board Director

    A partner in Albion Ventures since 2009 Andrew initially practiced as a surgeon for six years, specialising in neurosurgery. Prior to joining Albion he worked for the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and in 2005 he joined Close Ventures. Whilst at BCG he specialised in healthcare strategy, gaining experience with many large, global clients across the full spectrum of healthcare including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, service and care providers, software and telecommunications. He has an MA plus Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery from Cambridge University and is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (England).

  • Zulf Masters

    Dr Zulf Masters, OBE - President

    A doctor in Clinical Biochemistry from Liverpool University Dr Masters gained valuable international sales and marketing experience with Beecham pharmaceuticals prior to forming Masters in 1984. Since then he has seen the company grow into a global leader in the field of Named Patient Supply and has been instrumental in bringing together a powerful board and management team that is capable of delivering significant growth. In 2004 he was awarded the ‘Order of the British Empire' (O.B.E.) for services to British International Trade.
